Drainage Layout

The following details need to be shown on the drainage layout in order to accurately calculate the requirements necessary to provide a fully-compliant pumping station based on building regulations and British Standards.

 

Drainage layout showing the following;

​

• Pumping station location

• Pumping station CL (Cover Level) & IL (Invert Level)

• Rising main route and length

• IL level of receiving manhole

• Pumped flow rate (if surface water or a discharge consent by the local water authority)

• Incoming flow rate (if known)

Please note, the following checklist does not apply to surface water pumping stations:

• Occupancy Numbers (not required foe surface water pumping station)

  • Residential - Number of houses and number of bedrooms per hous

  • Commercial/Industrial – occupancy numbers or developable area in m2
